i like challenging myself and picking tech based on the task at hand. if that means learning something new for a one off, so be it. other than that i try to make things as simple as i can.

i have a few years of work experience mostly using python, js, html and css. had a hand in infrastructure and organizational stuff as well. most of our users were within the company and i tried my best to make their work easier and quicker whenever possible. worked together with designers and people outside my team to realize tasks. i also helped evaluate what external software to integrate into our product, and helped with the implementation of that as well. towards the end of my tenure i was able to work on a prototype to abstract and streamline working with our in-house cms. was able to move that one along further, yet departed before i was able see it through with the conclusion that due to the complexity of the existing system and the requirements, it would not be worth putting more time into the project.

i like trying new tech even if i don't stick with it. the latter is usually not beacuse i dislike the tech, but because there's something i prefer or already know well that fills a similar niche well enough. even still, i enjoy finding fun little projects to mess around with and keep myself occupied. most will probably not see the light of day because they're hacked together and not worth putting out into the world, or because i move on to the next project without it ever reaching a 'usable' state. outside of that i enjoy making music using guitars and daws, as well as consuming music and discovering new artists and genres. i'm a bit of a gamer as well, though a little less nowadays.

these days i make my use of social media a very conscious decision as opposed to mindlessly scrolling whenever there is a quiet moment. if i do engage with it, then mostly to support friends or people i consider worth supporting. any actual opinions you will most likely find here and not on some big us corpo site.
